Steve Clouse, a lifelong resident of Ozark, Alabama, has dedicated more than three decades to serving the people of Dale and Houston Counties in the Alabama House of Representatives. First elected in 1994 at the age of 38, Clouse has become one of the most experienced and respected legislators in the state, now serving his eighth four-year term.

Over the course of his 32-year tenure, Clouse has represented his home region with consistency, integrity, and a deep understanding of the needs of the Wiregrass. Today, he stands as the Dean of the Wiregrass legislative delegation and is widely regarded as its steady leader and guiding voice.

Representative Clouse currently serves as Chairman of the House Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure Committee. He previously held one of the most influential positions in state government as Chairman of the House Ways and Means General Fund Committee, where he was responsible for crafting Alabama’s General Fund Budget for over a decade.
